About this video
I was looking for a fun motion idea for this year’s Halloween to share with my friends and clients, and came up with this one. The production combines still layers that I created in Photoshop, which I then animated in After Effects using the Puppet Tool and the 3D camera. I also generated several shots with AI in LumaLabs Dream Machine, which I re-imported into After Effects and Photoshop. Some frame-by-frame retouching was done in Photoshop, and I tracked the skull that pops up on the cellphone screen in After Effects. For the final compositing, I added lightning, fog, subtle smoke, a few flying bats, and an additional cloud layer for the logo reveal. For the color correction and final look, I used Red Giant’s Magic Bullet Looks. Finally, I went to Eleven Labs to generate the zombie voice via text-to-voice. I edited the various voice clips in Premiere Pro, where I also created the sound design and added stock music, also edited within Premiere Pro.
