About this video

This project reimagines the classic cassette player through a modern lens, blending 90s nostalgia with a more contemporary industrial design. I wanted to capture the tactile joy of physical media, from chunky buttons to satisfying knobs, all housed within a clean, modern chassis. The piece was modelled in Plasticity and brought to life in Cinema 4D with Redshift, with original music and sound design created to support that analogue spirit. The internals might not make total sense, but that was never the goal. It is about mood, interaction, and celebrating the physicality of music in a time when so much of it feels intangible.
