About this video
How do you show something invisible? Birdie is an indoor air quality monitor that tracks CO2 levels. We decided to refrain from showing CO2 molecules and instead show the simple mechanic of Birdie in a playful way with a Nordic minimalistic aesthetic that mimics the product and builds upon the design tradition of Birdie's origin country: Denmark. Fresh and stale air is communicated by fabric billowing in the wind, reflections and shadows from windows. Every movement throughout the video is anchored in the iconic motion language of the product. When the air turns stale, the bird rotates and drops down, and when air quality is good, the bird rotates back to life. Built as a flexible brand asset, the video works across platforms, from web to presentations.
