About this video
This personal project was inspired by a visit to Dessau, where I decided to recreate a little corner filled with objects that caught my eye and felt both inspiring and completely timeless. About a year ago, I visited the Bauhaus School, the Bauhaus Masters’ Houses and the Bauhaus Museum in Dessau. The shapes and curves of so many objects felt strangely familiar, yet completely new at the same time. From spoons and chairs to theatre and architecture, Bauhaus seems to find its way into all kinds of creative disciplines. Only now have I finally managed to recreate a little corner featuring some of the Bauhaus pieces that inspired me that day. Here, you’ll find the Wagenfeld Lamp by Wilhelm Wagenfeld, the door handle by Walter Gropius, the S 35L Chair by Marcel Breuer, the table clock by Marianne Brandt, and many other interior details found in the Masters’ Houses in Dessau - from radiators, pipes and light switches to the bedside table, door handles and window sill. These are the kinds of everyday objects and details that surrounded the artists who lived and worked there in the mid-1920
